Irreplaceable

“You must not know ’bout me
You must not know ’bout me
I can have another you by tomorrow
So don’t you ever for a second get to thinkin you’re irreplaceable”

Beyonce – Irreplaceable

As we grow up, our toys are replaced, our friends relocate, our priorities change, fashion replaces our comfort clothes , boyfriends are replaceable (easier to your car), new gadgets replace the tech-toys you’ve grown up with; Everything in life can be replaced. But there are things/people/emotions that are Irreplaceable.

My best friend moved away to another continent, time zone. We have had our share of challenge in making this change smooth. We do interact with a lot of other people. But, the emotion-security-craziness we share is not replaceable. She is an irreplaceable part of my life.

In India, daughters get married and has a new family. But, the place she has for her mom and dad is irreplaceable.

Sometimes, time-place-priorities can add miles between you and your loved ones, but in your heart that person is irreplaceable. There is no alternate, you are not even trying to find the second best. There are a few priceless things in life that will not fade away. But, it is not selfish, it will give way to other people or things if that’s in your best interest.

What about toxic people, relationships or a career that you find irreplaceable..? If it’s doing you more harm than good and you cannot bear to let it go, then it can be challenging. But, try remembering that if that career or person knows that it’s making you miserable and still giving you a hard time… Is it worth it? Are they trying to teach you something??? Will it still matter to you, 5 years down the lane..? Or is it making you bitter and exhausted?

You know yourself and your values the best. So decide the things/people you need to cherish and decide what can be replaced and what NEEDS to be replaced.

“Life is short, live it; Love is rare, grab it

Anger is bad, dump it; Fear is awful, face it

Memories are irreplaceable, Cherish it 🙂
